Liebster Awards 2013

I would like to thank Jai at And Then...  for choosing me to share eleven questions and answers with you.  Thanks Jai for the invite.
The following are the rules:

Liebster Award Rules:

1. Thank the blogger who presented you with the Liebster Award, and link back to his or her blog.

2. Answer the 11 questions from the nominator; list 11 random facts about yourself, and create 11 questions for your nominees.

3. Present the Liebster Award to 11 bloggers, who have blogs with 200 followers or less, whom you feel deserve to be noticed. Leave a comment on the blogs letting the owners know they have been chosen. (No tag backs.)

4. Upload the Liebster Award image to your blog.
Eleven Questions from Jai:
1.  If you could have a super power what would it be?
To be immortal, never have to sleep or feel tired. To be invincible.

2.  Coffee or Tea?
Neither. I do like hot chocolate while walking on the beach during the winter.

3.  Favorite color?
Blue and white. I love both colors together.

4.  Why did you start blogging?
Because I had something to say and to learn. Also, for the purpose of sharing with others of like interests.

5.  Who was your favorite teacher and why.
Mr. Dunn, my English teacher in 8th grade was my all time favorite. He was a giant of a man with a heart to go with it. He taught, he loved, he inspired. He sparked your interest and showed you that "You can write." Helped you to believe in yourself. He was remarkable.
6.  Who is your favorite author?
I love so many authors. I especially enjoyed the Harry Potter Series. So I must say J. K. Rowling. I like Stephen King, Charles Dickens, Brandon Mull (The Fablehaven Series), Edgar Rice Burroughs, and so many more that teach us great lessons on writing.

7.  What kind of music do you enjoy?
All types of music. I listen to Rock, Easy Listening, Pop, Classical and some movie musicals.  Whatever inspires me when I write. My first novel takes place on the island of Maui, thus I listen to IZ (He has such a smooth, calming voice). I just love music like Fray, Coldplay, Muse, some Blue October, and Jason Mraz.

8.  Do you have a favorite movie?
I love the Twilight Series, and I love all the Harry Potter movies. Again, there are so many great movies out there. I love Gone With The Wind, and anything that is colorful and entertaining.

9.  What would be your dream vacation?
I would love, love, love to go to Hawaii for vacation, especially Maui. I'm so attached because of my book, The Veil by K. S. Collier.

10.  What is your favorite healthy food?
I love cabbage with carrots, potatoes, and onions.

11.  What is your guilty pleasure?
Moist, rich, dark chocolate cake.
ELEVEN RANDOM FACTS ABOUT MYSELF:
1. I'm on Nutrisystem. Well, I am starting back. I went off at Thanksgiving and well, ten pounds later, I refuse to gain eleven back.
2. My office walls where I write are covered in beautiful scenes of Hawaii.
3. I have a beautiful view of the bay where I live, which happens to be on an island.
4. I am as young as I think and feel.
5. I'm a writer/author, daughter, mom, grandmother, and friend.
6. I love walks on the beach with a cup of hot chocolate.
7. I have a stuffed ape in a leather jacket. (My husband bought it for me to hug when he is away. I always call him my ape man. He almost died in a motorcycle accident, so he promised he would never ride bikes again, and bought this ape man as a reminder to keep that promise.)
8. I love to read English books, dictionaries, and anything to do with writing. One of the ones I'm presently reading is Vex, Hex, Smash, Smooch by Constance Hale. Don't you just love that title?
9. I love my children and all 18, soon to be 20, grandchildren.
10. I love life, and people, and enjoy watching them react in real life situations.
11. I'm 101 years old? Yeah right. Actually, I'm 29 Forever.
The Following Are the Questions for the next lucky 11 Chosen.
1.  What would your perfect world look like?
2.  How many hours a day do you spend writing?
3. What inspired you to write?
4. Who do you have to critique and edit your work?
5.  Do you have a Muse? (Mine happens to be a wooden model carved in great detail of a Hawaiian native.)
6.  What time do you write (day or night)?

Kathy, it's so good to get to know you better through these questions. And thanks for the nomination...I am honored!
Unfortunately, I am so overwhelmed at this point, with writing, challenges, and home educating our two children, that I can't fit another thing on my plate. I hope you will understand...cheers!
