X is for Xenophobia and

Xenophobia is the fear of foreigners or strangers, or of anything that is foreign or strange.  What is your fear?

Maybe you have Xanthophobia.  That is if you have a fear of the color yellow, or maybe you fear the word yellow.

If you fear foreigners, then surely you must have Xenoglossophobia, a fear of foreign languages.

If you fear dryness, then you have Xerophobia.

Did you think about Xylophobia?  Are you frightened of wooden objects or forests?

How about Xyrophobia?  Razors can be scary when they are dull, and you have a lot to shave.

These fears are real for many people.  What's your phobia?  Or do you have one?

Then again, we can always start over with A for Arachnophobia.

Yellow's my favourite colour! I definitely have arachnophobia, totally petrified of those things!

I'm also scared of the dark (but not enough to call it a phobia), and I have to be medicated when I fly. I don't know the technical term for that one though!

Hi Angeline: Thanks for your comment. It was fun learning the new words, and phobias are definitely real. Nice to meet you.
