I is for Ice Cubes

It seems I'm a day late for "I" because I was out of state. It is hard to keep up sometimes when life interferes.

So for "I"...hmmm!

I is for Ice Cubes

Did you know that Robert Groff Copeman invented the first rubber ice tray in 1928? Well, he did.  He had been collecting sap from maple trees when he noticed the ice chips slide off his rubber boots, thus giving him the idea for the first rubber ice trays.

In 1933, the first flexible stainless steel ice tray was created by Guy L. Tinkman. You could actually twist the tray, and out popped the cubes. I remember those.

And so it is, "I" is for Ice Cubes.

I love ice in my drinks. Thank goodness for ice makers today that automatically generate your ice, giving you an endless supply at your fingertips. I love modern technology.

Brrrr!

I'm not a big fan of ice in my drinks. 1) I hate it when the ice gets melted and waters down my drink and 2) my teeth can be sensitive and it's like the ice know. o.o LOL

Hey Patrica: Thanks for stopping by. I've been out of state for a couple of days this week, and it's been hard keeping up. I'll be by to see what you've done. I'm from the South and ice is a comforting choice for drinks since it is so unbearably hot around here.
